Concrete failures also stem from structural settling, chemical and atmospheric deterioration and mechanical damage. Concrete repairs typically involve the removal of deteriorated concrete, application of epoxy or corrosion inhibiting coating to reinforcing steel and replacement of concrete at balconies, shear walls, pedestrian slabs, parking garage slabs and parking garage ramps.

Common materials include epoxies, corrosion inhibitors, epoxy or non-epoxy coated reinforcing steels, site mix concrete, pre-bagged concrete mixes, ready-mix concrete and polymer-modified repair mortars.
